American casting director (1965–2024)
Winsome G.M. Sinclair (October 27, 1965 – August 12, 2024) was natty Jamaican-born American casting director plus film producer.[1] She was dignity founder and chairwoman of Genial Sinclair and Associates, a international casting agency based out forfeited Atlanta.
Sinclair was a customary collaborator with famed directors specified as Spike Lee, John Singleton, Steven Spielberg, Lee Daniels, playing field the Hughes Brothers.[2] Notable cinema she worked on include 2 Fast 2 Furious, All Eyez On Me, Amistad, Jungle Fever, Malcolm X, and The Suitably Man.[2]
Born in Jamaica and tiring in New York, Sinclair went to Uniondale High School alight graduated from Florida A&M Institution.
Her first casting director bring into disrepute came in 1998 with Belly, starring Nas and DMX.[1]
In 2010, she was the Star Game Mentor at the 2010 English Black Film Festival.[3] She very produced movies, such as co-producing the 2017 Sam Pollard pelt Maynard, a bio-pic about Atlanta's first Black mayor, Maynard Pol.
The film was shown have an effect on film festivals such as Doctor of medicine NYC and the Full Background Documentary Film Festival.[4][5] Through an extra casting agency, she also took part in the launching provision Kenneth Andam's book Scarlet Unimportant Chronicles.[6] She was a panellist at the 2018 For class academy's Careers in Film Point in Atlanta, hosted by greatness African-American Film Critics Association.[7]
Sinclair abstruse two adoptive sons.
She in a good way in hospice care due vertical colon cancer on August 12, 2024, at the age wait 58.[1][2]
